Today I stopped into the Trek Bicycle bike shop in Fairfield to see what's going on and pass the word of Wheelmen & Co.
After hanging out and talking to Lisa the bike shop owner, she brought this to my attention.
Crazy how this hasn't already been made, as most towns are ok with it. There needs to be a something done, and this should make it clear to the First Selectman, Ken Flatto that bike lanes need to be placed. How can you argue the safety of cyclist?
Did you ever try walking or biking down the Post Road in Fairfield? This section of the Post Road does not even have a sidewalk...only parking! For this reason and many others, we believe that Fairfield must develop a bicycle and pedestrian plan as a first step towards a safer and more sustainable biking and walking environment.
